The feedback that I received was actually very helpful. First, I have not been titling each section of my webpage. Having the module numbers at the top made perfect sense to me, but the feedback I received was that each page would be easier to follow if each page had titles. I was questioned on my choice of the design because the background is so dark. I was questioned on my use of weebly versus making this work in my existing wikipage. I do think that I should title each section. I like the design that I chose, but I did choose this design based on my Big Kahuna project that after I started developing the site I realized the Big Kahuna is actually less important to the overall site as it can be an external link and can look completely different than my CEP webpage. I decided to keep the design though because I still like to keep things neutral, plus I think the background sort of resembles a chalkboard without being cartoonish. I decided to create a weebly because of a co-workers input. Her daughter teaches Elementary School art and she shared her weebly webpage with us. I loved how professional the site looks and feels in comparison to the wikipage that I currently have. I would like to spend a tremendous amount of time recreating all of my web presences in weebly. The ease of uploading multimedia information is outstanding. Although none of the family, friends, and co-workers I enlisted to look at my webpage have very much input into my actual coursework, they all liked it. I would be remiss to not say that I definitely would have benefited from the feedback from One Time and the CEP 817 instructors. The checklist I created was:
Does the link to the site work?
What are your first impressions?
Please view each module, what are your feelings about each module?
Is the site easy to navigate?
Did all of the links work correctly?
Were you able to view all embedded videos and presentations?
What recommendations for change do you have?
What should I definitely keep?
Please be candid, your feedback will only help me to make a great finished product!
Overall the feedback I received was nice. I was told all of the links worked and that it was easy to navigate. One person said that they would prefer all of the module tabs to show instead of having to click MORE to see them. Although I do agree this might be better, I don't have to time to redo it because I think it may mean I need to do a completely new page design. I was told that my project was intriguing and that they would like to read the student papers. I was told by one person that they do not like Prezis and that I should redo my Prezi into a PowerPoint However, I like to use Prezi. I will spend some time trying to clean it up though as a common complaint was that one of the circles went over the light bulb when it zoomed.
I really like having the opportunity to receive feedback. I do think the suggestions help me, however the most important feedback for me would have to be that of the students which I currently do not have access to.
